Hi, I am Kathleen Jarvis, and I am a K-12 School Counselor. I have a master's degree in school counseling and hold an active secondary ELA teaching degree. I have several years of experience in teaching and counseling. My passion for helping others was ignited by my challenging childhood. My experiences have given me a deep understanding of the importance of mental health and well-being in achieving academic success.

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for my students. I will always be available to lend an ear, offer guidance, and help students navigate the ups and downs of high school life. I will move forward as a counselor with an approachable demeanor and empathetic nature, allowing students to feel comfortable sharing their struggles and concerns.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and practicing yoga, all of which I incorporate into my counseling approach. I believe in the power of mindfulness and self-care and encourage my students to find healthy ways to manage stress and anxiety. I am dedicated to ensuring that every student at Iron Co. C4 has access to the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Resources for Counseling Needs

High school individual counseling is a confidential and safe space for students to explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns with a trained counselor. The goal of individual counseling is to provide support and guidance to help students navigate the challenges of adolescence, develop coping skills, and achieve personal and academic success. Individual counseling can provide students with the tools and resources they need to thrive in high school and beyond.

High school group therapy sessions are a form of counseling where a trained therapist leads a group of high school students who are experiencing similar issues or challenges. Group therapy can be a powerful way for students to connect with others, gain support, and learn new skills for managing their emotions and behaviors. Group therapy sessions are designed to be a safe and confidential space for students to share their experiences and feelings, and to learn from others who may be going through similar struggles. It can be an effective way for students to receive support and build relationships while working towards their personal goals.
