School Counselor's Use of Time
Direct and Indirect Services

As recognized by ASCA, school counselors spend more than 55% of their time in counseling and group activities with students. To ensure a high level of service and efficacy in our counseling program, the ICC4 School counseling department understands the importance of managing our program to reflect the optimal 250:1 student-counselor ratio and the goal of spending 80% of our time in direct and indirect student services. With a manageable caseload, we can provide students with the individual attention, support, and resources they need to achieve academic, career, and social/emotional success.

My Online Services

01.

Online individual school counseling therapy sessions provide a safe and confidential space for high school students to discuss their personal and academic concerns with a licensed counselor through an online platform. These sessions are typically conducted via video conferencing or instant messaging, and provide students with the flexibility to schedule appointments around their busy academic schedules. In these sessions, the counselor works collaboratively with the student to develop strategies to address their specific concerns, and to build resilience and coping skills to improve their overall well-being.

02.

Online group school counseling therapy sessions for high school students are a way to connect with peers who are experiencing similar challenges. These virtual sessions can help students build new skills, improve relationships, and develop coping strategies in a safe and supportive environment. Through group therapy, students can gain insight and perspective on their own experiences while also providing and receiving support from others in the group. The online format makes group counseling more accessible and convenient, allowing students to participate from anywhere with an internet connection.

03.

Online academic school counseling therapy sessions for high school students are a type of virtual counseling service that aims to provide students with academic support, guidance, and resources to help them achieve their academic goals. These sessions may focus on topics such as study skills, time management, test-taking strategies, goal setting, and career exploration. Through these virtual sessions, students can work with their school counselors to address academic challenges and create personalized plans for academic success. The online platform provides a convenient and accessible way for students to receive academic counseling and support, especially for those who may have difficulty accessing in-person services.
